Carnivore Beef Stew
With the cold weather still here in Austin, I’ve been really craving some warm soup for lunch. Being on the carnivore diet, I was determined to make it work! With some good organic bone broth, stew beef from Whole Foods and Redmond Real Sea Salt, it met all cravings.
While this was a pretty simple recipe, I realized it is actually a pretty effective tool for carnivore. One thing I have struggled with while on carnivore is eating enough calories because I have such little hunger. Having meat prepped in an Instant Pot makes it easy to grab a couple pieces of really tender meat to increase calorie intake throughout the day. I think the other ingredients in this recipe actually make it a pretty great recipe for carnivore beginners. The bone broth can be a great way to help improve gut health and the salt is important since sodium deficiency is a common side effect of low carb dieting.
If you are new to carnivore, I recommend giving this recipe a try!
PS. I may be the only one, but trying to take a picture of the final beef stew wasn’t as attractive and appealing as this ingredients pre-cooked display, but the final results spoke for itself!
For the blender
32 oz of Bone Broth
1 lb. of Beef Stew
1 tsp Sea Salt
As easy as Instant Pot is, just add the bone broth, stew beef and salt to the pot.
If you used an Instant Pot, turn the top knob to “stewing”, and set it to “ Meat/Stew.”
If you’re more of a slow cooker chef, just blend the same ingredients and cook for about 4-6 hours, or until meat is tender to your preference.
To note: We used organic beef bone broth, but there is also organic chicken bone broth available.
